What To Expect at the Sunday Service

Upon arrival, you’ll be met by one of our greeters. This person will hand you a program and direct you into the meeting room. If you have children, he/she will also help you find age-appropriate classes for your children. One of the first things you’ll notice is most people are dressed casually. We want you to feel relaxed – that’s an important part of our “come as you are” approach to life with God.

Our service starts with about 30 minutes of contemporary worship music. We usually invite people to stand when we sing; however, please feel free to sit if you’d like. We give freedom for individual expression so you may see people kneeling or even dancing. You’ll notice many people experiencing a strong connection with God while they worship. This is very important to us.

After our worship time, we’ll have announcements then take a short break. The break is a time for us to greet one another. We provide coffee and, usually, some snacks on a table in the back of the meeting room. Please help yourself!

Following the break, our senior pastor, Dan Davis, will normally give the Sunday message. We firmly believe sound biblically-based teaching makes a difference in people’s lives. We strive to teach in a way that is relevant and practical for everyday living.

At the conclusion of the message, we typically move into a time of “ministry” (praying for one another). The pastor will invite people to come to the front of the church if they would like someone to pray for them. This could be because they’re responding to some aspect of the message or they may need prayer for direction, comfort, or healing. We have some great stories of people being healed physically during ministry time. This doesn't happen all the time, but it's pretty cool when it does. At any given service, only a certain percentage of people are involved in praying for others or receiving prayer. Others stay in their seats and pray quietly or sing along with the band. We don’t want you to feel pressured to “come to the front” – only respond if you’d like to receive prayer.

The beginning of ministry time marks the end of the “formal” portion of our service. Anyone not participating in the ministry time may choose to stay for a time of quiet reflection or worship or may choose to leave at this time.

We hope this gives you a clear sense of what you can expect when you come and we hope to see you soon!!
